Wakefield, RI: — Storm Swell Surf launches a T-shirt with 100% of the proceeds donated to Break Through Waves. Will Crocker, 18 year old founder of Storm Swell Surf, says “During the last few years as people felt less safe participating in many activities, I saw surfing become a safe form of both entertainment and connection for more and more Rhode Islanders. I wanted to support Break Through Waves as its mission is to use surfing to heal people.”

Storm Swell Surf:
Storm Swell Surf is a union of surf culture and streetwear that represents the harmony between darkness and light. A dangerous storm brings waves to surf, and a sunny day casts shadows in dark street corners. The brand brings together darkness and light to show that they are symbiotic, and are truly one and the same. “Storm Swell Surf captures what we do with our participants in our ocean therapy program. We work with people who have experienced life challenges and bring the ocean to light the darkness they may feel.”
Break Through Waves: At Break Through Waves, adults learn to lead lives of balance in mind, body, and spirit. We are a non-profit founded and run by a group of volunteers who are passionate about helping people with their trauma and struggles in life. Our organization creates a safe space for adults to help soothe their emotional wounds through different forms of therapy such as surfing, yoga, mindfulness, and breathing techniques. Our surfing program is offered at Easton’s beach in Newport, RI typically from May to October. Easton’s beach is the perfect place to experience the ocean's gentle waves.
